Feel DECADES younger!

What kind of music do you love to dance to? Whether it's 60s rock n roll, 70s disco, 80s cheese, 90s clubland or recent chart hits, we have something for everyone! 

Our dance fitness classes are 45 minutes of upbeat dance-based cardio and muscle toning. You'll be having so much fun that you won't even notice the time passing!


High and low impact options mean these classes are enjoyed by participants with all sorts of fitness levels and body types!

Meet the Instructor

Decades was founded by Lindsay Bates and launched in January 2021.

Lindsay previously taught Boogie Effect dance fitness classes for 2.5 years, with classes in Bearsden, Maryhill and Anniesland, Glasgow.

​

Lindsay grew up taking tap, ballet, modern and Highland lessons, and danced with the Youth Ballet of Scotland as a teenager. As a student in Aberdeen she performed in several am-dram musicals and went on to choreograph shows including "Fame" and "42nd Street". 

​

When lockdown struck in March 2020, Lindsay set about studying for Level 2 Exercise to Music with the Community Fitness Network, and jumped into the world of online teaching. As in-person classes gradually restarted, teaching opportunities opened up with David Lloyd, Glasgow Club and University of Glasgow Sport.

Lindsay has also studied Strala yoga since 2014 and has been guiding gentle yoga classes since 2017.  Her most recent qualification in June 2023 is for teaching David Lloyd's signature yoga/Pilates fusion class Spirit.
